South Africa Visa Application
1. For Estonian citizens 
Citizens of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia can apply for a visa no earlier than 90 days before the date of arrival in South Africa.
Documents needed for a visa application:
- Passport (machine-readable only) with at least two (2) empty pages, valid for no less than 30 days after departure from South Africa;
- Visa application form DHA-84 fully completed in black ink. Questions not applicable should be answered N/A. DO NOT remove pages from the form. TipEx is not allowed;
- Two similar (2) photographs 35x45mm, color or black/white;
- Letter of employment/enrollment from your workplace/school/university on official letterhead with an official stamp;
- Proof of sufficient financial means: bank statement for the last three (3) months showing the account number, name of the bank, and account holder;
- Proof of travel/medical insurance for the entire stay showing the insurance company, applicant's name, policy number, and validity;
- Proof of preliminary booking/reservation of a flight ticket to and from South Africa in English;
- Documentation confirming the purpose and duration of your visit (invitation, itinerary, proof of accommodation, etc.). If staying with a friend:
- Invitation letter stamped by the South African police;
- Copy of the host’s ID stamped by the South African police (not older than 6 months);
- Proof of the host's residence (e.g., utility bill);
- The host's bank statements for the last three months.
Visa processing times: at least 20 working days.

Please note:
All forms must be filled in with black ink, and all documents must be provided in English, printed separately for each applicant.
2. For Russian Federation citizens 
Russian citizens do not need a visa to travel to South Africa unless the stay exceeds 90 days within a 360-day period. A passport is required, containing at least 2 blank pages, valid for more than 30 days after the trip ends.
3. For stateless with Estonia residency (with undefined citizenship) 
A visa is not issued.
4. For EU citizens 
The requirements are the same as for Estonian citizens. A visa can only be issued if you have an Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, or Finnish ID card.
