Who needs a visa?
Estonian citizens
Estonian citizens can apply for an electronic tourist visa. The availability of a visa on arrival depends on the route and the port of entry.
EU citizens
Citizens of EU countries can apply for an electronic tourist visa. The availability of a visa on arrival depends on citizenship and the port of entry.
Ukrainian and Russian citizens
Citizens of Ukraine and Russia can apply for an electronic tourist visa. The availability of a visa on arrival must be checked in advance with regard to the selected port of entry.
Stateless persons
Holders of an Estonian alien’s passport must apply for a regular visa well before travel. Processing takes at least two months and, in some cases, up to three months.

Electronic visa — e-Visa
Single-entry visa — €75; multiple-entry visa — €115.
Each stay may last no more than 30 days. A multiple-entry visa permits a total stay of up to 90 days within a half year.

Visa for an alien’s passport holders
The visa fee is paid in two stages:
Stage one — obtaining approval: €90.
Stage two — placing the visa in the passport: €90.
Regular visa application form
*If approval for a holder of an alien’s passport is not received or arrives after the planned travel date, the second-stage fee does not have to be paid. The first-stage fee is non-refundable.
Processing times
Processing normally takes 3–5 working days. We recommend submitting documents no later than 8–10 days before departure, but no earlier than 60 days before the start of the trip.
Processing takes at least two months: preliminary approval takes at least 40 calendar days, and placing the visa in the passport usually takes up to three weeks.

Issued visa
Once approved, the e-Visa will be sent by e-mail. Print it and take it with you on your trip.
You can also apply for an electronic visa at our visa centre. In this case, you do not need to complete the application form in advance. Only your passport is required.

Stage one
Complete the form and attach a colour copy of your passport, copies of both sides of your ID card and a photograph of the applicant.

Approval
We will prepare the documents and submit them for approval. We strongly recommend that you do not book your trip before approval is received.
Visa placement
Once approval has been received, you may book your trip. Please then submit your original passport and your flight and hotel bookings to our visa centre.
You can also apply for a regular visa at our visa centre. In this case, you do not need to complete the application form in advance. Your passport and ID card are required for the first stage.

1. Electronic visa
- A colour copy or a clear photograph of the passport page containing personal details. The passport must be valid for at least 8 months at the time of application.
- A completed e-Visa application form. Complete the e-Visa application form
The passport image must be in colour and clear, without glare, foreign objects or cropped edges. All details must match the passport exactly.
2. Visa for holders of an alien’s passport
- A colour copy or a clear photograph of the passport. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the planned trip.
- A colour copy or photograph of both sides of the ID card.
- A colour photograph of the applicant taken within the last 6 months. Photo requirements.
- Visa application form. Complete the regular visa application form
- Original passport.
- Return flight booking and hotel booking for the entire stay. If you do not yet have tickets, you may provide an agreement with a tour operator showing the flight and accommodation details.
The documents for the second stage must be submitted no later than 60 days after approval is received.

Security situation
Before travelling, check the latest recommendations of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, flight operations and border-crossing conditions.
Higher-risk areas
The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends avoiding travel to North Sinai and desert areas west of the Nile.
Travel outside the resorts
Travel outside the resorts of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh should be organised and undertaken in accordance with the instructions of the local authorities.
Public gatherings
Avoid demonstrations, public gatherings and crowded places.

Registering your trip
Before departure, we recommend registering your trip on the website of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Border control
Border-control officers have the right to refuse entry even when a valid visa has been issued, regardless of the traveller’s citizenship.
